It is very important that you arrive at the boarding gate on time. SA Express boarding gates close 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time on domestic flights and 20 minutes for regional flights.

SA Express Cabin Baggage
SA Express allows one piece of cabin baggage per passenger. The cabin baggage must not exceed a total dimension of 115cm and 7kg in weight.
For safety reasons, carry on baggage must be placed either in the overhead luggage locker or under the seat in front of you.
SAExpress offers a luggage service called Skycheck. This is the airline’s special hand luggage facility that assists with in-flight comfort, speedy boarding. When boarding you will see a Skycheck cart at the boarding steps of the aircraft. Simply place any hand luggage that will not be required during the flight onto the Skycheck cart. Items placed in the Skycheck cart will be waiting for you as you disembark from the aircraft at your destination.

The SA Express free baggage allowance is as follows:
In the case of two infants travelling with one adult, the second infant must pay a child fare and therefore allowing the second infant 20kg of checked in baggage. Infants which are not entitled to a seat shall be permitted 10kg and one collapsible stroller.
The weight of each piece of baggage may not exceed 32 kg. Please note that excess baggage charges will apply for baggage exceeding the free allowance.
